Good-bye America

It's 1919 in Youngstown, Ohio, a life changing year for four year old, Anna Baron. Her father has died during the flu epidemic and her distraught mother is taking her children to her homeland in Czechoslovakia.

At least Anna has her older sister to love and take care of her. But when they are torn apart and separated by two continents, Anna must face the world on her own.

Facing her mortality at the age of 89, Anna tells her story again to her two great granddaughters during their Thanksgiving reunion.

She details a personal family history including her departure from America, her abandonment by her mother in a strange foreign country and her eventual return to America. Anna has been telling her story to her family for three generations to preserve their heritage and to teach a lesson in history and how the human spirit has the strength to overcome unthinkable odds -- also,so that her story will never be forgotten.
